What is Ju-Jitsu?

Ju Jitsu, sometimes written as Jujitsu or Jiu-Jitsu, is a martial art and self-defense system that originated in Japan. It focuses on grappling and submission techniques, emphasizing the use of leverage and body positioning to overcome an opponent, regardless of their strength or size.

Ju Jitsu techniques involve joint locks, throws, strikes, and immobilizing techniques. It emphasizes the principle of using an opponent's force against them and utilizing various holds and locks to control, incapacitate, or submit them. This martial art is known for its practicality, effectiveness, and adaptability in close combat situations.

Over time, Ju Jitsu has influenced various other martial arts and combat sports, such as Judo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Today, it is practiced around the world both as a competitive sport and for self-defense purposes.
